On Friday 21st April the Slough MP Tan Dhesi took time out of his busy timetable to come and visit our school councillors.  Experiences from both sides were shared regarding how Mr Dhesi and the School Councillors were voted in by their party/class members. • Year 4 - School Trip to the Living Rainforest

    Mon 30 Jan 2023

During the Spring Term, Year 4 went to The Living Rainforest. We had a guided tour called, 'Animal Adaptations', and we learnt how the animals in the rainforest have adapted over thousands of years. We even saw a fish that has teeth that look the same as human teeth! We saw a sloth, an alligator, iguanas, snakes, armadillos, agoutis, pygmy monkeys, cockroaches, frogs, stick insects and more! We also learnt more about the layers of the rainforest and saw a demonstration of how rainwater is repelled by some of the larger leafed plants. The tour guides were very impressed with how much we have learnt at school and that we were able to answer so many questions correctly. Teachers were very proud to hear the tour guides say that WHA was the best behaved school visit they have led in a long time. Well done Year 4!

  • Federation Math Challenge

    Thu 26 Jan 2023

    Dear Parents and Carers,

After a hard selection process and quiz in school, last night four Year 6 children represented WHA in a Federation Maths Challenge.

32 children across the Federation took part. The children had to work in pairs to complete very challenging maths tasks in timed conditions - it was tough!

I am absolutely thrilled to announce WHA scoped both first and second prize and bought the shield back to WHA!

I am so proud of the children and the way they conducted themselves. Well done to all involved!

  • Congratulations to our Year 4 Spelling Bee candidates

    Fri 04 Nov 2022

A huge congratulations to our Year 4 Spelling Bee candidates: Hamdan, Scarlett and Zubaria.

Last night, they attended Godolphin Junior School and competed with 24 children across the Park Federation at the Federation Spelling Bee.  It was nerve-wracking stuff!   We are so proud of how well they performed in an unfamiliar place in front of a large audience.

Well done Hamdan, Scarlett and Zubaria - you looked wonderful in your medals at the end of the evening!
