Safer Internet Day - 9th February 2021
This year's theme: An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world
Dear WHA families
This year in the UK, Safer Internet Day explores reliability online. The internet has an amazing range of information and opportunities online, but how do we separate fact from fiction?
In the past year we have relied on the internet even more heavily so it is even more important we share this event. Please explore some of the resources and issues and discuss as a family what they mean and how they can affect us all. Internet Safety, fake news, passwords, good online habits and personal safety and security are concerns for us all and an unavoidable aspect of our daily lives.
Safer Internet Day will be celebrated globally with the slogan: Together for a better internet.
At WHA we would usually have an assembly and follow up lessons based around this event to discuss it’s meaning and implications including how to take part in a record breaking attempt!
Please don't feel you have to know all the answers but here are some resources which may help and provide some assistance.
Kind regards
Mr Barclay
