How to apply for Reception 2024 entry.

 

All our Reception and in year admissions are managed by Slough Borough Council.

 

Reception Tours

Our Reception tours will be conducted by the Deputy Principal and is an opportunity for you to come to Western House and find out more information about the school with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. 

 

Reception entry

If you have a child who was born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020, you can now apply for a Reception school place for September 2024. 

 

To apply for a Reception place for Western House Academy and providing you live within the Slough borough you must apply for a school place via the Slough Citizen Portal for Reception. The Admissions criteria can also be found here.

Everyone must apply for a school place. There is no automatic entry to any school. 

If you live within another borough, this must be done via their admissions portal. 

 

Once a school place for Western House Academy has been allocated to you by your local authority, our admissions team will be in contact with you to request some more details about your child and to give you all the information needed for a successful transition.

 

The entry for applications is now open and the national closing date for on-time primary applications is 15 January 2024. You must apply by this date.

Admissions 2023/24

Western House Academy (WHA) will comply with the Schools Admissions and Appeals Codes. 

WHA will be an inclusive school with no religious faith affiliations. 

 

Admissions Policy

Western House Academy Council will determine the admission criteria for WHA.

 

Admission To Nursery 

WHA will administer the offer of places for Nursery and all applications need to be made direct to the school office. Children can attend the nursery the term after their 3rd birthday. 

 

Admission to Reception - Year 6

The Local Authority will administer the offer of places for Reception to Year 6 on WHA's behalf. All enquiries for places in Reception to Year 6 need to be made direct to the Local Authority.
