RE

Seeing that we have a multicultural cohort, it has been decided to adopt and follow a tried and tested RE scheme (Discovery RE).  This is to ensure our parents can be confident that the material delivered has no bias and delivers the national requirements. These scheme has been adopted because it also fits with the principles of our curriculum and has a range of experiences, a broad outlook linked to values and not just knowledge.  

The following religions have been chosen to be studied in each year group:

EYFS: Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism

Year 1: Christianity

Year 2: Christianity and Judaism

Year 3: Christianity, Hinduism and Judaism

Year 4: Christianity and Buddhism

Year 5: Christianity and Sikhism

Year 6: Christianity and Islam
