Our topic for Spring 1 was ‘Island Adventures’. Children explored island living through the exciting exploits of Katie Morag! They explored the Isle of Struay and discovered more about the features of an island setting and applied this knowledge to other areas of the UK. Many children created their own islands, take a look below!

We explored ‘Healthy Eating’ in Science. Children discovered the important of a balanced

diet and the impact different types of foods have on our body.

Our topic for Spring 2 was ‘What a Wonderful World’. We focused on the location of countries, continents and oceans of the world. Children developed global awareness by looking in detail at the position of the seven continents and five oceans of the world, understanding that the world is spherical and creating their own journeys across the world.

We explored ‘Living Things and their Habitats’ in Science. Children had a fantastic time discovering different animals and their habitats around the world! Take a look at some of the wonderful work that they have produced!
