Greek Day:

Greek day for the Year 5's was a great hit! The children loved taking part in some of the Ancient Greek Olympic events with their Greek athlete they created earlier that morning.

Children also decorated their own Greek vases which depicted what happened at the Olympic games during that period of time, as we had learnt that many historians could learn about the Olympics from the decorations on ancient Greek pottery. 

We were incredibly impressed with the children who were brave enough to step outside their comfort zones and try some new food in our Greek feast that consisted of some staples Greek foods: pitta, olives, feta and tzatziki dip. Some children came away from the day liking the new foods they had tried! What a memorable day with all our Greek Gods and Goddesses.
