On 13th July Year 2 enjoyed a trip to West Wittering to enjoy the beach as part of their 10 by 10 experience. Year 2 definitely had the opportunity to use the WHA values of positivity, tolerance and resilience as the coach journey to the beach was delayed due to traffic. The wait was worth it! For some children this was their first experience of going to a beach. There were lots of shared smiles and laughter. The weather was bright and sunny. The children were able to dip their toes in the sea (still cold despite the sunshine) and make sandcastles. The trip was enjoyed by everyone including the teachers and support staff. Everyone arrived back at school tired but with many wonderful memories (and lots of sand in their clothing).
