School start and finish times

Western House Academy operate a 'soft start' from 8:30am. This give's the children time for reading and other activities before the school day begins.

Nursery - AM children 8.30am-11.30am

                 PM children 12:30 – 3:30pm

                 All-day children (30 hours) 9:30am-3:30pm (Optional £5 charge for children to start at 8:30am)

Reception & Year 1: 8:45am to 3:15pm

• Daily time: 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM = 6 hours 30 minutes (6.5 hours)
• Weekly total: 6.5 hours × 5 days = 32 hours 30 minutes (32.5 hours)

Years 2-6: 8:55am to 3:25pm

• Daily time: 8:55 AM to 3:25 PM = 6 hours 30 minutes (6.5 hours)
• Weekly total: 6.5 hours × 5 days = 32 hours 30 minutes (32.5 hours)

Details -

• In the morning, only Reception & Year 1 parents will be permitted onto the playground, and they will enter by the back gate.
• Years 2–6 will need to be dropped off at a gate of their choosing or via the drop & go. 
• At the end of the day, all parents will be permitted onto the playground and children will be collected from the classroom or their allocated spaces.
