School start and finish times

Western House Academy operate a 'soft start' from 8:30am. This give's the children time for reading and other activities before the school day begins.

Nursery - AM children 8.30am-11.30am

                 PM children 12:30 – 3:30pm

                 All-day children (30 hours) 9:30am-3:30pm (Optional £5 charge for children to start at 8:30am)

Reception: Backgate – 8:45am to 3:15pm

Year 1: Backgate – 8:45am to 3:15pm

Years 2-6: Backgate or Frontgate – 8:55am to 3:25pm

• In the morning, only Reception & Year 1 parents will be permitted onto the playground and they will enter by the back gate.
• Years 2-6 will need to be dropped off at a gate of their choosing. 
• At the end of the day, all parents will be permitted onto the playground and children will be collected from the classroom or their allocated spaces.
