In the information folder look at the Phase 2 and 3 sounds – what sounds do you know now?

Creative and writing

Set up your own doctor’s surgery for family member or you teddies.

Can you find out what is wrong with your patient?

Write a prescription for each patient saying what is wrong and what they need to help them.

Draw a picture of a person and label different body parts.

Remember to:

  • Use your phonics to segment and blend the words yourself.

Creative

Make your own doctors / fire fighter / police uniform. You could make your own hat and badge using different materials.

Maths

Make a timetable of your day – what time do you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner? What time do you do your wake up and go to bed?

Writing book

Write about a fire fighter, doctor, paramedic, or a police officer. How do they help us?

Remember to:

  • Use your phonics to segment and blend the words yourself.
  • Use your writing checklist (Capital letter, full stop, finger spaces, and number of words).

10.30 – 11.30

Creative

Make your ambulance / fire engine / police car using junk modelling. How will you join the pieces together? What shapes do you need to use?

Maths

Complete some time challenges:

How many jumps / hops / skips etc can you complete in 1 minute? Who can do more - you or a family member?

Close your eyes while a family member record the time – can you tell them to stop after a minute? How close were you?

Have a running, skipping, hopping race – who was the quickest?

Read a phonics book catered to your level.

Understanding the world & writing

 Research the equipment a doctor needs or items in a first aid kit.

How does each piece help them? How do you use it?

Write a sentence about 5 pieces of equipment.

Maths

Can you create your own clock? Remember to place the numbers in the correct places and have a big hand and a little hand. Practice telling the time using “o’clock”.
