Week 7

Nursery suggested daily timetable week 7 .

Before 9.00am

Get ready!

Carry out your usual morning routine (that you would do before coming to Nursery). Why not use the video to remind you how to wash your hands effectively!

Morning exercise

Do this in the way you prefer: Joe Wicks PE sessions, action songs by The Learning Station on Youtube, playing in the garden etc…

Learning time – Fine Motor

Pencil control sheets – can you make sure you use the tripod grip to trace the lines on the rainbow?

Can you colour the wild animals? Why not give them a new pattern? What would the hippo look like with pink zebra stripes? What other animals could you change?

Choose one of the fine motor activities from the ideas cards that you can do using resources you have at home.

If you are going to reception in September – can you practise writing your name in lowercase letters (not CAPITAL LETTERS). If you are staying in Nursery in September – can you trace over your name (get an adult to write it with a highlighter first).

Can you cut out the animals and create your own safari park? Get an adult to read the words and see if you can match them to the picture of the animals.

Learning time – Maths

Cut out the cards and get an adult to hide the treasure hunt pictures around the house. When you find a picture, count how many things are on it and complete the numerals on the sheet.

Count the animals and colour in the boxes on the bar graph. Which animal appears in the picture the most?

Count and colour the patterns on the animals. Can you write the number on the page? Get an adult to help you.

Roll the dice, add up the spots and colour in the correct numbered animal.

Look around your house for different patterns. How many can you find? What colour are they? Can you draw them? Or, take a photo of them and count up how many different patterns you can find.

Creative Time

Look at the photos of the wild animals. Can you name them? Can you talk about them? Can you draw your own? Can you find one in any of your books? Can you find one amongst your toys?

Have look at the wild animal body parts. Can you name them? Can you say which animal they are from? Can you think of other animals that have those body parts?

Use the pattern pages to cut out and make a collage. Or, use pages from a magazine that you may have at home. You could collage an animal, or something of your choice!

Can you get an adult to read the clues from the cards. Listen to the clue and choose the animal you think it is! Can you make up your own clues?

Make some rainbow snake bubbles! See the instructions for how to do it!
