Week 3

I hope you had a lovely Easter break, enjoyed the sun and ate lots of Easter eggs! I hope you enjoy these activities this week. I will be looking at your lovely photos on Tapestry, so keep uploading them. We all look at them every day - your ‘message to the teachers’ videos have been lovely to watch. If you have any questions please send them to nurserywha@whatpfat.com and I will answer them. :-)

Get ready!

Carry out your usual morning routine (that you would do before coming to Nursery). Why not use the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxlQn7KaCNU to remind you how to wash your hands effectively!

9.00-9.15am

Morning exercise

Do as much of Joe Wicks’ PE session as you can. Can you get your adults to join you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rz0go1pTda8

9.15-9.30am

Learning time – Fine Motor

Do a page from your pencil control book in your pack (you can print more from the Nursery page on the school website or you can activate a free month of twinkl and chose your own!)

Complete a page of scissor skills.

Colour a picture – can you keep in the lines. Make sure you are using the tripod grip!

Practise your scissor skills by snipping – small pieces of paper, straws, grass, dried spaghetti.

9.30-9.50am

Learning time - Maths

Print out the Easter Counting page and count how many of each item you can find. Colour them as you go.

Make your own number cards (there are some on the website you can print if you prefer). Cut them out and trace over the numbers.

Print out the Animal Sequencing pages. Can you get the animal body parts in the correct order? Can you make your own sequencing pages using an old magazine or photo?

Use the number cards that you made – choose a number card at random and then try and match the correct number of items to the numeral on the card.

9.50-10.30am

Creative Time

Ask your adult to help you make some slime! (Please feel free to Google alternative recipes if you do not have all of the ingredients).

Get creative and choose an activity from your Project Passport.

Play with your slime! Record it on Tapestry.

Raid your recycling bin and do some junk modelling!

Paint a picture of your family.

10.30-10.45am

Get Active

Type ‘kid’s workout’ into YouTube and choose a video to follow and let off some steam!

10.45-11.00am

Household tasks

Help your family tidy up. Tidy up your bedroom and toys. Help fold/sort the washing.

11.00-11.30

Quiet time

Read a book, do a puzzle or colour a picture.

11.30-12.00

Lunch Time

You Choose!

Play with your toys. Can you share with your siblings? Make sure you put your toys away once you have finished!

2.30-3.00pm

Story Time

Read a book with your family. Talk about the characters and what is happening in the story. Can you find the front cover of the book? Can you turn the pages carefully? Did you like the story? Why/why not? Discuss it together.

3.00-3.30pm

Get Active

Get active again! Choose your favourite way of letting off some steam and using up some more energy! Can you go in the garden and run around?
