Week 13

Good morning. We hope that you enjoyed your 5 for 5 challenge on Friday. Find below your learning for the week. Don't forget to send your work in to the teachers as they love receiving it. 

 

Week 13 – Monday 6th July

9:15 – 10:00

Maths

Split your page into 3 and label them morning, afternoon and evening.  What do you do in the morning, the afternoon and the evening? Write these in each section.

For example…. In the morning, I brush my teeth.  In the afternoon I eat my lunch.

Imagine you are a pirate. Write a story about your adventures. Where would you go? What would you see? What would you do?

Choose your favourite book and read your adult the story.

Design your own sea creature. Make it as weird and wonderful as you like. A unicorn fish? A crab with tentacles? Have fun coming up with your own ideas

What are the days of the week? Can you write them in order?

Challenge – What do you do on each of the days? For example… on a Friday I have fish and chips.

Draw your own rainbow fish. What materials could you use to make it shiny and colourful? Eg Tinfoil, crisp wrappers and ribbon?

Make sure you ask an adult  before you use the materials

 

Week 12 – Thursday 2nd July

– 10:00

Maths

Using the clock you have made, get an adult to see if you know all of the o’clock times. They can ask you an o’clock time and you need to use your clock to show that time. Eg. Can you show me 2 o’clock?

English

 Listen to our story, The rainbow fish.  Can you write down the title, the characters, the setting, and what happens in the beginning, the middle and the end.

Make a friendship fish, cut out some scales and write down what makes a good friend on them. Draw or print the outline of the fish and use the scales to fill in the fish’s body

Choose your favourite book. Can you find some words with the ‘ar’ sound in? Write the words you find in your book.

Creative Time

Draw the life cycle of a plant. How does it look as a seed and how does it change as it grows into a flower?

 

Week 12 – Friday 3rd July

9:15 – 10:00

Maths

Write yourself a daily schedule. What time do you do each thing during the day?

What time do you get up?

What time do you eat breakfast?

What tie do you start your home learning?

What time do you have lunch?

What time do you go to bed?

You can add some other things that you do too!

Listen to our story, The rainbow fish.  What have you learnt from the story? Why is it an important story? Write this in your English books.
