Reading Ambassadors 2026

Being a reading ambassador at Western House is great fun. We love to see the younger children develop more confidence with every word they say, and we enjoy reading with younger children and helping them develop reading skills and fluency.

Our job is to help the younger pupils to understand how books are created! Books are not just about the images or the genre. If you read enough books, we reward you with stickers, house points, badges, bookmarks and special certificates that you would love to earn.

We are also responsible for AR libraries and the whole school library. However, this is everyone’s library, the mess that you make is your responsibility! So it's important to make sure that our libraries are neat and tidy all the time. We will also try to find books that children are interested in reading. 

We love reading to each other. Every time we listen to someone read we will put a smile on their face! Remember the more you read, the more words you learn, the bigger your brain will become!
