Language Detectives 2026

We’re the Language Detectives, and we’re excited to share what we’re doing across the school this year!

In Year 6, we have the biggest role! Each week, we collect and check the Year 1 Petit Sac Français to make sure all the fun games, books, recipes and beanbags are inside before they go back home. We also get to write real letters to our partner school in Lyon, France, and we will help Madame Elliot organise the Paris trip and our whole-school Diversity Day later this year!

In Year 5, we do that exact same important bag-checking job for Year 2, keeping all their French bags checked, packed and ready every single week.

In Years 3 and 4, we are the role models in our classrooms! We help Madame Elliot during French lessons, showing everyone how to play the games, and making sure our class friends log onto Language Angels at home at least once a week.
