Year 2
On 17th June, Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic trip to West Wittering beach as part of their 10 by 10 experience. Year 2 definitely had the opportunity to use the WHA values of positivity, tolerance and resilience as the coach journey to the beach was delayed due to traffic. The wait was worth it! For some children this was their first experience of going to a beach. They had an engaging, informative lifeguard talk all about beach safety. It was lovely to see the children smiling and laughing together having great fun on the beach! They loved dipping their toes in the sea, playing on the sand and making sandcastles with their buckets and spades. Finally the children enjoyed a delicious ice lolly getting the full day at the beach experience! Everyone had a brilliant time including the teachers and support staff and we all arrived back to school tired but with wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
