Friends of Western House
Welcome to the Friends of Western House
The Friends of Western House (FOWH) is a fundraising committee run by a dedicated team of parents of children in the school. To date, funds have enabled Western House Academy to provide valuable resources for children to use, including headphones, tablet cases, visualisers and cameras, books, playground equipment and subsidising trips.
Throughout the school year, several fundraising events are organised that add to the overall school experience and help bring a real sense of community and benefits to the children.
Each year, the FOWH organises the Christmas discos, sales of toys, books and cakes, Colour Run, and our hugely popular summer fayre.
In spring 2025, the FOWH purchased a tuck shop to be run in collaboration with Year 6, selling ice creams, drinks and snacks.
The PTA is an important part of a school and can help enrich the lives of children enormously by improving their experience.
Join Us
Every parent is welcome to join the FOWH - mums, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents and carers. We are always looking to welcome new members to our team, no matter how much or little time you can spare, there’s always something you can support with. We encourage you to volunteer an hour or two of your time for an event, see how things are, who else might be involved, and build up your commitment from there if you choose to.
We are a fun team and always make sure, in addition to our events, we organise social opportunities to get to know each other better and relax outside the school gates.
We would love to hear from you, so either grab one of us in the playground, or email us on fowh@theparkfederation.org
